The Penderyn Music Book Prize is the only UK-based book prize specifically for music titles including history, theory, biography, autobiography.
The 2015 award ceremony took place at the Laugharne Weekend, on Sunday 12th April.
The winner was Mark Lewisohn for ‘The Beatles - All These Years: Volume One: Tune In’ (Little, Brown)
'I can think of no greater praise for Tune In than to say that it gives The Beatles the beginnings of the biography they deserve.'
Peter Aspden, Financial Times
'Though they'll probably never rival Jesus in terms of shelf space, for as long as there’s a publishing industry, there will always be books on The Beatles. And the one they’ll always come back to, the Bible of the beat to which all others defer, will be this one.'
Mark Paytress, Mojo
'Tune In, the first volume, has all the heft of the Old Testament, with greater forensic rigour.'
Kitty Empire, Guardian
